澳门道乐团于2008年1月28日在澳门特别行政区政府正式立案成立。澳门道乐团的成立是为推广及促进道教音乐文化，发挥澳门的桥梁作用；加强两岸四地与世界各地之道教乐团的交流亘动，增加彼此的凝聚力；提高澳门地区人士对道教音乐之认识，培养演奏道教音乐的专材，传承及推广澳门的道教音乐艺术及国家级非物质文化遗产–澳门道教科仪音乐。

自2002年，澳门道乐团由五、六个团员，至现时三十多位团员，除了每年在澳门道教协会举行‘道教文化周’演奏外，2005年1月参加假文化中心大剧院‘道乐仙韵颂太平’及2007年3月假澳门理工学院举行‘道教音乐欣赏会’。此外，于2004年及2007年分别前赴新加坡及香港参加由中国道协会主办第四届及第七届‘道教音乐汇演’。为庆祝澳门道乐团正式立案成立，于2008年10月11日假金碧文娱中心主办‘道教音乐欣赏会’及参加“庆祝回归九周年民乐道乐欣赏会”。2009年主办‘澳浙道韵贺双庆’道教音乐欣赏会及参加《絃歌雅乐赏文遗》；并前赴新加坡参加”中国─新加坡2009宗教文化展”之道教音乐欣赏会。2010年主办‘澳晋道乐欣赏会’及参加”道韵天音”道乐欣赏会等
