《道德經》為春秋時代老子所著，存世二千多年，五千言字字珠璣，是我國一部哲學、社會學、政治學及軍事學的不朽巨著。《道德經》博大精深的思想，已成為中國深厚傳統文化不可或缺的部分，其提出的和諧理念和精神境界，正好符合構建和諧及小康社會的實踐之道。
為讓中學生認識我國文化瑰寶《道德經》，弘揚中國傳統文化，配合特區政府推行德育教育的施政方針，本會於2011年及2012年成功舉辦了兩屆《道德經》中學生書法比賽，深獲社會人士、學校師生、傳媒的讚許，對本地區學生的德育發展起着積極的推動作用，2013年本會繼續舉行第三屆《道德經》中學生書法比賽。
